Comenius project “Alice knowledge road” visit to Lithuania program
16th to 20th of June 2010

The 16th of June

Meeting Romanian, Portugal, Bulgarian teams.
Teachers’ accommodation in a hotel. Students’ accommodation in families.

The 17th of June

8.30 Meeting at the hotel.
9.00 Trip to Klaipeda. Tour in the Baltic Sea beach and Klaipeda’s old town .
13.00 Dinner.
14.00 Free time.
16.00 Trip to Agluonenai for traditional dinner.
17.00 Traditional Lithuanian dinner.
Spanish team meeting at Riga airport, accommodating them in the hotel and in families.


The 18th of June

8.30 Meeting at the hotel.
9.00 -10.00 Meeting with district authorities and District’s educational department’s head.
11.00 Meeting teachers and students at school.
12.00 Dinner.
13.00 Teachers meeting with village’s elder and dean. Children travel to Norgelu mound. Balloon campaign the Battle of Grunwald, the anniversary of 600 years.
14.00 Comenius activities.
Activities with children.
15.30 Teachers visiting local places of interest.
18.00 National evening- party.

The 19th of June

7.30 Trip to Nida. Teachers and students get into the bus, in Endriejavas near school.
8.00 Teachers living in hotel boarding into the bus. Trip to Curonian Spit.
13.00 Lunch in Nida.
18.00 Students come back to families. Goodbye dinner in families.
19.00 Goodbye dinner in the hotel.

The 20th of June

5.30 Leaving the hotel and collecting the children.
Trip to airport and leaving.

Students were hosted in Lithuanian families. All school community tied to take part in the activities while organizing or during the meeting. Guests met local authorities, got a chance to find out more about Lithuanian culture and traditions, visited local places of interest. School community was very pleased to have all the guests here and got unforgettable experience. The students made new friend and continue to communicate using IT. Teachers also had a good practice using foreign language and have seen actual benefits of the project. Guests were given certificates signed by project coordinator Stella Anton, Head teacher of Klaipedos rajono Endriejavo vidurine mokykla Julius Gindulis and responsible for the project in Lithuania Egle Skoleviciene.
