Alice from Lithuania
Dear friends,
I'm Alice from Lithuania. I hope you like me. I would like to be your project's mascot. I'm dressed in Lithuanian national costiume. I have five sisters and they badly want to be dressed in your national costumes. Maybe you would like to make them? Please vote if you want me to be your mascot. Your Lithuanian friends will send my sisters dolls to your school and maybe one day we will all meet.

Multilateral Comenius Project
ALICE’S KNOWLEDGE ROAD
ACQUIRING LANGUAGE INTEGRATED CONTENT IN ENGLISH
ACQUIRING LANGUAGE INTEGRATED CONTENT IN ENGLISH
Our project promotes cooperation, friendship and a closer contact among partner countries (Romania, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain and Turkey).
All the activities and the final products will bear the name of the well known story “Alice’s adventures”. Like ALICE who grows and learns, enjoys and is disappointed, makes new friends and finds counsellors that help her to overcome any obstacle, our project will follow a new difficult way but with a lot of satisfactions and added value. Everything is new but this is what makes it more challenging, learning from the others, developing self respect and self-reliance, and all these for our students, for the European future. ALICE learns, Geography, English Language Literature, shares her knowledge with the others by using English language as a working passport. Sequences from Alice’s life will be included during CLIL lessons and extra activities (ex. learns Geography by going into virtual trips, acquires Economical and Social competences specific to the places she is visiting).

What is CLIL ?
Content-based learning a foreign language - it means teaching a subject of study in a language different from that normally used. Material that may not have any connection with language learning - for example, history lessons, taught in a school in Spain, in English. CLIL method is applied and is considered effective at all levels of study, from primary school and ending with higher education and adult education and in the past 10 years has enjoyed success ever higher.
